Dust Control Information:
Residents wanting chloride applied on the township road near their residence must make their payments by May 15, 2026

The cost is $100.00 for the first 300 feet and $60.00 for each additional 100 feet. 

Please make checks payable to Salem Township.

Payments can be mailed to the address below or can be made at the Salem Town Hall on the following dates and times:
Thursday, May 7th    5 pm-7 pm
Saturday, May 9th     9 am-12 pm
Monday, May 11th    4 pm-6 pm

If paying in cash, please bring the exact amount.  We cannot guarantee to have change.

All chloride purchases need to be flagged.  If you flag excess footage, the application will start at the first flag and shut off when they reach the purchased amount.  The chloride truck has accurate equipment for measuring.  Please flag accurately.

Flags will be available near the steps of the Salem Town Hall.

FLAGS SHOULD BE IN PLACE BY MAY 17, 2026

​***Road grading will be done on an as needed basis throughout the summer, regardless of whether chloride has been applied or not.
